Laundry Day – Handcrafted Cement Candle with Wooden Wick
Description
Crisp, clean, and comforting — Laundry Day captures that just-folded-fabric softness you love. Notes of fresh cotton, sun-dried linens, and a hint of fabric softener fill your space with the cozy calm of a freshly washed home.
Each candle is made of 100% soy wax and is hand-poured and handcrafted in a custom cement vessel, sealed with an earth-safe, non-toxic finish for your safety and peace of mind. A natural wooden wick adds a gentle crackle as it burns, evoking the soothing ambiance of a quiet evening by the fire.
No two vessels are ever the same — each carries its own subtle variations, reflecting the art of handmade craftsmanship and the quiet beauty of imperfection.
Candle Safety & Care Warnings
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep away from flammable materials, drafts, children, and pets.
- Burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Do not burn for more than 3–4 hours at a time.
- Trim wick to ¼ inch before each use to prevent soot and uneven burning.
- Discontinue use when ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel to avoid overheating or cracking.
- Allow the candle to cool completely before handling or relighting.
Wooden Wick Care Instructions
To enjoy a clean and even burn every time:
-
Trim the wick to ⅛ inch before each use.
Use a wick trimmer or pinch off the charred wood once the candle has cooled. A short wick helps prevent soot, smoking, and uneven flames. -
Let the wax melt to the edges on the first burn.
Allow your candle to create a full melt pool before extinguishing — this helps prevent tunneling and ensures an even burn. -
Burn for 2–4 hours at a time.
Avoid burning longer than 4 hours to protect the vessel and preserve the scent quality. -
Keep away from drafts and flammable materials.
Drafts can cause uneven burning or excess flickering. -
Extinguish safely.
Use a snuffer or gently blow out the flame — avoid using the lid or liquid to extinguish the candle. - Allow to cool completely before relighting.
